The
Inca class structure consists of the emperor and his family as the highest
class, the noble men in the second class, the next class was the commoners and
then the slaves of peasants. The Inca strongly believed that people should not
associate with others who are beneath their social class.
When children in this society turned 13 they were tested for their IQ. Upon completion of the IQ test children who had the highest IQ’s were sent to school. The boys that went to school would later become noble men and the women would be acceptable women for the noble men to choose as their brides.
Regardless of the class women in the Incan society were not apart of the workforce as they are today unless they were one of the chosen women. The women were caretakers, they stayed home and looked after the family dwelling, cooking and cleaning and looked after the children.
